Brothers from Other Mothers (Achilles and Patroclus). 2022
The artwork deals with the idea of care and concern between life and death; through the perspective of two different male bodies; whose lives have intertwined for more than a decade. The response is made through the personification of death masks; juxtaposing the feeling (filling) of emptiness (death) with warmth (life) that is full-bodied. And this is further imagined by adopting the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus, two figures made known during the Trojan War.
After the death of Patroclus:
Achilles agonies, touching Patroclus’ dead body, smearing himself with ash and fasting. He laments over Patroclus’ death and requests that when he dies, his ashes be mixed with Patroclus'.

The Distance Between Us. 2020
Yet throughout this state of upheaval, in order to keep us safe, we have found solace in being at a distance between one another. Ironically, it was a decree that fundamentally rub against our innate behaviour as a social being. Nonetheless, I look at this as a form of progression in the ways we have managed to stay connected albeit the lack of a physical presence to console our endearments.
It is through distance that we have also learnt to connect back to ourselves and especially to the ones who are closest to us at home. Time has slowed down for us so we may be constantly absorbed in the present moment and altruistically; take the opportunity to reflect on our actions.
In Distance Between Us, I look upon the sky as a beacon of hope, observing it as it majestically changes and yet simultaneously be at a constant despite time. I look upon the distant sky for what is between us is a strong belief that we will pull through no matter what the situation on land is and for that I look upon the sky as my inspiration, hoping that you will too.

Writings on the Horizon. 2019
Writings on the Horizon, intends to communicate with the conception of an idea that are then imprinted onto a physical surface of a mind as a metaphor for the marriage between being qua being. It is also an attempt to capture the spilt moment of awaking to the rising of a ‘sun’ and into a new. The photographic documentations; accompanied by spontaneous poetic phrases of a gathering, expresses the idea of one’s perspective, peering towards the horizon. Thus the horizon is a symbolic personification for the conclusion of Ramadan (scorched or burning) and into Shawwal (to lift or to carry).
